The new DD mosquito net is suitable for hammocks with a maximum lying surface of 2,70 meters. You put the hammock through the net which is like a sleeve and can be closed on both ends with small cords. This net has mainly been created for hammocks without any insect protection, such as the DD camping hammock. Although the DD Frontline and DD Travel Bivi have a mosquito net attached, you cannot prevent insects from biting through the lying surface from below. We recommend to put a mat or sleeping bag inside the hammock or to use the new DD mosquito net.
Especially if it is hot it is more comfortably to have few clothes on and fabrics around you. Two light aluminium spreader bars spread the net to a width of 60 cm. There is a zip entrance which can be closed rapidly and secure. You close the net on both sides with cords and suspend it with elastic cords which are also part of the scope of delivery. Thus there is a distance to your hammock at all sides and insects have no chance to come close enough to your body and bite you.
